Crochet Now 37 in shops from Thursday 17th January!
Everyone that knows editor Jenny knows she adores all creatures great and small, furry, fluffy and fuzzy – basically anything she can cuddle, she will. If she sees a cute animal video online, you know she’s watching it five times. Many of you will feel the same, so what better way to celebrate our love than with a host of animal-inspired patterns?
As soon as we saw Melinda Miller’s Fondly Feline Blanket, we knew we had to have it. We even suggested our sister magazine Quilt Now should look into making it as well. We had a similar reaction to Blazenka Simic-Boro’s super-flattering open cardigan, which can be made in up to size 30!
Fans of corner-to-corner crochet are going to love the animal-inspired home collection we have. Our personal favourites have to be the adorable animal cushions from Many O’Sullivan. These cushions are in Rico Creative Cotton Aran – an ideal choice for soft and durable makes for the home. Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten our furry friends either! Make Sarah Shrimpton’s supersized pet bed in as little as an hour for your favourite four-legged friends.

I have run out of the blue wool for the garden bird buddies. Is it possible to get some more. I have just one wing to crochet. My stitch and row tension are all OK.
