Christmas at the Markets

Although it's looking like visiting the markets this year won't look like anyone of us imagined last Christmas, we're still channelling those magical, cherished moments in this issue. Imagine strolling along in twilight to the smells of mulled wine, the twinkling of lights and laughter as friends and family catch up to eat seasonal treats and do a bit of shopping.

Keep warm and cosy in the Heart Market Sweater from Bowie & George, and matching Cherry on Top hat, perfect for chilly Christmas walks, whether it's around the markets or with the family at the weekend. Even if you can't make it to this year's office party, Fran Morgan's All That Glitter's Wrap will add sparkle to every outfit!

If you can't buy the cute decorations you find at the market this year, why not crochet some Hanging Haus Ornaments instead? They almost look good enough to eat! And Christmas wouldn't be complete without a crocheted Father Christmas of course, so turn to page 38 to crochet your own Saint Nick & His Turtle Doves, with a mix-and-match jacket and hat set too!

Kim Dickinson's Christmas Countdown Cushion is a lot of fun for little ones to count down to Santa's visit, and be sure to hook up a snuggly Christmas blanket, like the North Star Throw to snuggle under with a hot chocolate while you watch Christmas films.

I'm sure you will love flicking through our annual Christmas Crochet with TOFT collection, Kerry and the team have come up with a stunning collection of festive makes once again, and I can't wait to see all your finished Shaun the Sheep stockings this year!

Stay safe!

Issue 61 is available to buy from your local supermarket and newsagent from Thursday 15th October 2020 but if you can't wait, order your copy online, grab yours from Craftstash, or why not treat yourself to a subscription and never miss an issue again!
