Did you know that Jane Crowfoot, the top designer behind many successful crochet-alongs (CALs) for her own website www.janiecrow.co.uk and for the popular yarn brand Stylecraft, has created a brand new crochet along design for the Crochet Now!

We're super excited to have the design feature across the course of the first 13 issues of the magazine. Aptly-named Sunshine & Showers to reflect Britain's indecisive weather, the crochet along is a mystery design (inspired by the changing of the seasons), meaning that readers will only discover the design piece by piece, revealing a completed design only in the final installment.

The yarn used for the project is Stylecraft Special DK, with the blanket using one ball each in the following shades: 1005 cream, 1023, raspberry, 1027 khaki, 1063 graphite, 1065 meadow, 1067 grape, 1068 turquoise, 1080 pale rose, 1241 fondant, 1078 petrol, 1709 gold, 1711 spice, 1712 lime, 1722 storm blue, 1820 duck egg.

Kits are available now from Jane's website here.

While most of Jane's other crochet-alongs, including Frida's Flowers which is due to start this April, are aimed at competent crocheters, Sunshine & Showers begins with rows that are beginner-friendly, looking to improve your skill sets and give you a challenge to work to over time. In issue 1 of Crochet Now, Jane talks about prepping yourself for the crochet along, issue 2 sees the first part of the pattern take place!
